Ironjack Industries is seeking an experienced
Wall and Floor Tiler
to join our growing team in Dubbo NSW. This is a
full-time position
that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality tiling solutions to our clients across residential and commercial projects. As a skilled tradesperson, you will be responsible for the precise installation of wall and floor tiles, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail on every project. This role is integral to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the building trades industry and directly contributes to the successful completion of our diverse project portfolio.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and level surfaces ready for tile installation, including substrate assessment and remedial work where necessary
Accurately measure and cut tiles using manual and power tools to fit specific spaces and design requirements
Apply adhesive and mortar using appropriate techniques to ensure proper tile adhesion and longevity
Install wall and floor tiles to specified patterns and designs, maintaining consistent grout lines and alignment
Grout tiles using suitable materials and techniques, ensuring waterproofing and aesthetic finish
Seal and finish tiled surfaces as required by project specifications
Maintain health and safety standards on site, including proper use of personal protective equipment
Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and rectify any defects promptly
Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other tradespeople to ensure project timelines are met
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
What we're looking for
Current or eligible for a
White Card
(Construction Induction Card) or willingness to obtain one
Proven experience as a Wall and Floor Tiler, ideally with 3+ years in residential and/or commercial tiling projects
Solid understanding of tile types, adhesives,



grouts and waterproofing systems appropriate to different applications
Proficiency with tiling tools including tile cutters, grinders, levels and spacers
Strong knowledge of building codes and safety regulations relevant to tiling work
Ability to interpret plans, specifications and design requirements accurately
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Physical fitness and ability to work in various positions, including kneeling, bending and working at heights
Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
Valid driving licence is desirable
