Tucketts Tyrepower Hastings is seeking a skilled and experienced
Mechanic
to join our dedicated team in Hastings, VIC. This is a
full-time position
where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards. This position offers the opportunity to work with modern diagnostic equipment and a variety of vehicle types whilst contributing to a reputable automotive business with a strong commitment.
Key responsibilities
Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, diagnostics and repairs using industry-standard tools and equipment
Service and maintain vehicles including engine work, brake systems, suspension, and fluid replacements
Identify mechanical faults and provide customers with clear explanations of required repairs and associated costs
Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, battery checks and tyre rotations
Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and in compliance with safety standards
Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all vehicles worked on
Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workshop environment
What we're looking for
A qualification in automotive mechanics or equivalent hands-on experience demonstrating competency in vehicle repair and maintenance
Current driver's licence and a genuine interest in automotive work




Proven experience working with a variety of vehicle makes and models
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, brake systems and electrical components
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment used in modern vehicle servicing
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in diagnosing and rectifying mechanical issues
Robust work ethic, reliability and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to customers in accessible terms
A commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards in all work undertaken
Previous experience in a fast-paced automotive workshop environment would be advantageous
