Acan Group is currently seeking a Common Area Cleaner to join our team in Melbourne CBD.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, well presented environments and enjoys working in a professional hospitality setting. This role involves servicing a high-end hotel and ensuring all public areas are maintained to an exceptional standard for guests and visitors.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented and committed to delivering consistent quality in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
This is a Part time/ Casual position, working 7.5 hours per day. You will be responsible for maintaining hotel public areas to a consistently high standard and ensuring guests experience a clean, safe and welcoming environment at all times.
Multiple shifts are available:
Morning shift
Afternoon shift
Night shift
Applicants must be available to work a rotating roster, including weekdays, weekends and public holidays as required.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain the cleanliness of lobbies, corridors, lifts and public restrooms
Vacuum, mop, dust and polish floors and surfaces
Clean glass, mirrors and frequently touched areas
Empty bins and manage waste appropriately
Replenish consumables, including hand towels, soap and sanitiser




Complete scheduled detail-cleaning tasks
Report maintenance issues, hazards or safety concerns promptly
Follow hotel procedures and workplace health and safety requirements

Able to work independently and as part of a team
Physically fit and capable of performing manual cleaning duties
Available to work 8-hour shifts Part time/ Full time
Flexible availability across morning, afternoon and night shifts
Previous housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience is preferred
Hotel or hospitality cleaning experience is highly regarded
