This is a 6 month contract position for maternity cover as an Analytics Engineer in the Customer Insights and Reporting team.
n
You will be responsible for leveraging large and complex data sets to build robust, reusable and optimised data models for use across the organisation.
n
You will have broad technical skills of developing strategic models to support a wide range of use cases for analytics, business intelligence, self-service and other data driven projects.
n
This is a hybrid role (2 days in the office per week) that can be done from Brisbane (preferred), Melbourne or Sydney.
n
What you'll do:
n
n
Create standarised logical and physical data models, using best practices, to ensure high data quality and reduced data redundancy.
n
Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming and storing data.
n
Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
n
Work closely with the business and Customer Insights Analysts to surface enriched enterprise level views enabling data driven decisions.
n




Provide support to data quality and data validation through analysis of data and assisting in understanding the meaning of data.
n
Help drive continuous improvements to data quality procedures and a consistent approach to how data quality is measured, monitored and reported.
n
Ensure data governance standards are incorporated at the implementation level.

What we're looking for:
n
n
Proven experience with Cloud based technologies and databases - GCP is essential.
n
Solid experience in SQL and dbt is essential.
n
Hands on experience in designing and implementing dbt pipelines, setting up monitoring and troubleshooting issues
n
Confidence in collecting, collating and interpreting business requirements in order to produce quality outcomes.
n
Experience working with product managers, platform owners and different stakeholders to gather data requirements and provide solutions.
n
Experience in data engineering with in-depth knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes and data integration techniques in cloud environments.
n
Experience with ThoughtSpot is advantageous but not essential.
