About the Role
Metro Roller Door Service is a growing Australian company specialising in the manufacture, supply, installation and servicing of roller shutter doors.
We are currently seeking an experienced
Production Manager
to oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing factory in Campbellfield.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with robust manufacturing experience who can manage production, staff, quality and deadlines while ensuring the factory operates efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day production operations of the manufacturing facility
Plan and coordinate production schedules to meet customer and installation deadlines
Supervise and support factory staff and allocate daily workloads
Monitor production progress and ensure jobs are completed on time
Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet required specifications
Manage stock levels and coordinate material requirements
Monitor and minimise material wastage
Identify production issues and implement practical solutions
Ensure machinery,



tools and equipment are maintained and used correctly
Ensure all workplace health and safety requirements are followed
Maintain a clean, organised and efficient factory environment
Work closely with management, purchasing and installation teams
Assist with improving production processes and overall factory efficiency
Ensure production records and paperwork are kept up to date
About You
The successful candidate will have:
Previous experience in a
Production Manager, Factory Manager or Manufacturing Supervisor
role
Experience managing a manufacturing or fabrication environment
Strong leadership and people-management skills
Excellent organisational and time-management skills
The ability to plan and prioritise multiple jobs
A strong understanding of quality control and production processes
Good problem-solving and communication skills
A hands-on approach and willingness to get involved on the factory floor
Strong attention to detail
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
