Own the HR function
Are you an experienced HR Manager who enjoys being close to the business, working with people at all levels and having the autonomy to make things happen?
This is an opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day HR function for a national business of approximately 100 employees, predominantly supporting a blue-collar workforce across multiple locations.
Reporting to the General Manager, you'll be the go‐to person for all things HR, working closely with managers, team leaders and employees across the business.
You'll take ownership of:
Recruitment & onboarding
- managing the end-to-end recruitment process and coordinating onboarding, induction and offboarding
Employee engagement & retention
- supporting initiatives that improve engagement, retention and the employee experience, including pulse checks and exit interviews
Performance & development
- coordinating performance reviews and supporting managers with performance, development and underperformance matters
HR systems & reporting
- owning Employment Hero, maintaining accurate employee records, improving system utilisation and providing HR reporting
Employee relations
- providing practical support on workplace matters, conflict resolution and people issues, escalating more complex matters when required
HR policies & processes




- maintaining and improving HR policies, procedures and processes
Payroll & compliance
- working with the payroll provider to support accurate payroll, leave, superannuation and employee entitlements, while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and awards
People projects
- supporting remuneration reviews, talent development, and other HR initiatives
You'll ideally bring:
5+ years' experience in a generalist HR role
Experience across blue and white-collar environments, ideally within a multi-site or multi-state workforce
Strong end-to-end recruitment experience
Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation and award interpretation
Experience supporting engagement, retention and performance initiatives
A practical, solutions-focused approach to employee relations
The confidence to work independently and manage the full breadth of HR activities
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline
You'll be the key HR contact for the business, with the opportunity to build robust relationships across a predominantly operational workforce.
