Position Overview
n
An opportunity is available for an experienced Web Developer to join an agile, multidisciplinary capability delivery team working on a significant public-facing web system. You will work alongside Business Analysts, Software Developers and Testers to design, build and enhance modern web components, APIs, data access and business logic. The role offers a strong mix of front-end development using React and TypeScript, API integration with Node.js and Express, automated testing and ongoing system improvement.

Key Duties
n
n
Design, build, integrate, deliver and document software solutions aligned with business requirements.
n
Develop and enhance public-facing web components and supporting APIs.
n
Work closely with business and product owners to clarify requirements using Agile delivery methods.
n
Translate logical designs into physical solutions and integrate software using Agile development practices.
n
Enhance automation capabilities across existing systems and recommend appropriate new tools and structures.
n




Integrate Commercial Off-The-Shell and Government Off-The-Shell software where required.
n
Monitor systems and infrastructure and troubleshoot technical and support issues.
n
Implement and maintain automated testing.
n
Produce detailed technical and design documentation.
n
Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across the delivery team.

Skills and Experience Required
n
n
Experience with up-to-date build tools and bundlers such as Webpack.
n
Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest.
n
Demonstrated experience working within Agile, Kanban and Scrum environments.
n
Experience implementing UX specifications for public-facing applications.
n
Experience with state management technologies such as Redux or MobX, routing and responsive design.
n
Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.
n
Understanding of secure authentication workflows and appropriate data handling.
n
Ability to produce clear and detailed design and technical documentation.
n
Current AGSVA NV1 security clearance is required. Clearance upgrades will not be sponsored for this position.
