The Chance
n
As a Coal Mining Operator, you will report to the Coal Team and play an important role in safely delivering production targets and maintaining the efficient operation of the mine.
n Your responsibilities are as follows:
n
n
Safely operating a range of mining equipment in accordance with site procedures and standards
n
Contributing to the safe and efficient production of coal
n
Conducting pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
n
Identifying and reporting equipment faults, hazards and potential operational issues
n
Working closely with Supervisors and fellow Operators to achieve daily production targets
n
Supporting a positive and respectful team environment
n
n
About You - You will demonstrate:
n
n
A strong commitment to safety,



environmental standards and safe work practices
n
Previous experience (minimum 2 years) operating Mining Equipment in an open-cut mining environment specifically Haul Trucks. Your experience using Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Graders and Water Carts is highly regarded but not essential.
n
The ability to follow instructions while using sound judgement and maintaining situational awareness
n
Reliable attendance, punctuality and a strong work ethic
n
A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a respectful and productive workplace
n
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with Operators, Supervisors and other site personnel
n
A commitment to achieving production targets without compromising safety or quality
n
