The Opportunity
As an External Claims Adjuster with Crawford, you'll manage a diverse regional portfolio, combining technical property knowledge, investigation, problem-solving and customer service.
You'll Be Responsible For
Managing claims from initial notification through to settlement
Inspecting damage, investigating cause and assessing the extent of loss
Reviewing policies, claim documentation and evidence to determine coverage
Coordinating trades, service providers and technical specialists
Setting reserves, managing costs and making settlement recommendations
Preparing explicit, professional reports and maintaining accurate claim records
Delivering strong customer outcomes while meeting compliance, KPI and service standards
This Role Is Perfect For Someone Who
Has experience in loss adjusting, insurance claims, property, building, construction or trades
Is confident investigating issues, managing stakeholders and making sound decisions

What You'll Bring
Essential
Current driver's licence
Experience in loss adjusting, insurance claims, property, building, construction, trades or a related field
Strong communication, stakeholder management and report writing skills
Ability to work autonomously and maintain accurate claim documentation
Australian/New Zealand work rights and ability to complete a police check
Desirable
Loss adjusting experience or relevant skilled qualifications
Knowledge of insurance terminology, practices and policy conditions
Understanding of basic business accounting procedures
CILA membership or willingness to undertake further study
