Senior Retail Assistant – Giftorium | Myer Melbourne CBD
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Senior Retail Assistant to join our team at the Giftorium within Myer Melbourne CBD for the busy Christmas trading period.
This is a seasonal prospect running from 24 September **** to 1 January ****. As the Senior Retail Assistant, you will represent the S.Kidman brand while supporting and coordinating the Retail Assistant team during the busy Christmas trading period.

About the Role
As the Senior Retail Assistant, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of the Giftorium at Myer Melbourne CBD and provide support and guidance to the Retail Assistant team.
You will be responsible for helping ensure the team is rostered appropriately, the Giftorium is well presented and customers receive a great experience.
Your duties will include:
Supporting and coordinating the Retail Assistant team
Preparing and managing staff rosters
Ensuring the Giftorium is appropriately staffed across trading hours
Providing guidance and support to Retail Assistants




Leading by example in customer service and sales
Assisting customers with product selection
Processing sales and handling payments
Maintaining a clean and organised retail area
Supporting the team during busy trading periods
Assisting with general retail duties as required
Communicating any issues or requirements to the relevant team members
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has previous retail experience, ideally in a senior or supervisory roleIs confident supporting and coordinating a small retail team
Has experience preparing or managing staff rosters
Enjoys working with customers
Is reliable, organised and well presented
Can work well in a busy retail environment
Has a friendly and approachable manner
Takes pride in providing good customer service
Is comfortable taking responsibility and working independently
Christmas Trading Availability
This is a seasonal Christmas retail position, so availability during the busy trading period is essential.
You will need to be:
Available to work across all 7 days of trading
Available to work weekends and public holidays
Available to work extended trading hours during the Christmas period
Available from 24 September **** to 1 January ****
Christmas Day will be the only planned trading day off.
