In a couple of months, we'll be opening Juno, our brand-new waterfront café, restaurant and events venue in the heart of Port Adelaide.
Set on the Port River within the Adelaide Dolphin Sanctuary, Juno is being built from the ground up to become a destination for great food, coffee, functions and events. The venue will serve breakfast, brunch and lunch six days a week, while also hosting weddings, celebrations, corporate functions and private events.
We're now looking for an experienced
Venue Manager
who wants to be part of the journey from the very beginning.
This isn't a role where you simply step into an established venue and follow an existing formula. You'll have the opportunity to help shape how Juno operates, build and lead the team, establish systems and service standards, work closely with the kitchen and help create the culture and guest experience from opening day.
About Juno
Juno will be a sizeable waterfront venue with seating for around 100 to 150 guests, alongside dedicated spaces for larger functions and events.
Our café menu will focus on simple, delicious food made with quality local produce, while our events offering will bring together weddings, celebrations, corporate functions and private events.
Our ambition is simple: to become one of Port Adelaide's standout hospitality destinations, known for great food, exceptional service and a genuinely memorable waterfront experience.

Daddy West Hospitality Group

About the Role
As Venue Manager,



you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Juno and play a key role in establishing the venue from the ground up.
You'll work closely with the General Manager and Head Chef to build a high-performing team, establish strong operational systems and create a venue culture where both guests and staff feel genuinely looked after.
Your responsibilities will include:
Managing the day-to-day operation of the venue.
Recruiting, leading, mentoring and developing the front of house team.
Building rosters and managing staffing requirements.
Establishing strong systems, procedures and service standards prior to opening.
Leading service and ensuring consistently high standards of guest experience.
Managing functions, weddings and events from enquiry through to delivery.
Working closely with the Head Chef to coordinate service and kitchen operations.
Managing stock, ordering, labour and other operational costs.
Monitoring venue performance and identifying opportunities to improve.
Ensuring compliance with licensing, food safety, workplace health and safety requirements.
Helping shape Juno's culture, reputation and position within the Port Adelaide hospitality scene.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll be expected to lead from the front, be visible on the floor and work alongside your team while also having the confidence to step back, look at the bigger picture and make decisions that move the venue forward.
While your primary focus will be Juno,



you'll also work within the broader Daddy West Hospitality Group and have opportunities to support the development and operation of our other venues.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
An experienced Venue Manager, Assistant Manager or senior hospitality professional ready to take the next step.
Confident leading a team in a busy hospitality environment.
Highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities.
Passionate about exceptional service and creating memorable guest experiences.
Experienced in café, restaurant, functions or events operations.
Commercially minded, with an understanding of labour, stock and venue costs.
Calm under pressure and confident making decisions.
A strong communicator who knows how to build trust and get the best out of a team.
Passionate about creating a positive workplace culture.
Excited by the opportunity to build something from the ground up.
