Action Workforce is currently seeking an experienced and safety-focused Counterbalance Forklift Operator to join a busy and fast-paced transport operation based in Port Curtis, Rockhampton. About the Role
This casual position offers consistent full-time hours, working Monday to Friday on day shift. The successful candidate will play a key role in the efficient movement, loading, and unloading of freight while contributing to a safe and productive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Operate a counterbalance forklift in a safe and efficient manner
Load and unload a wide variety of freight profiles
Move, position, and stage freight throughout the depot
Work effectively within a busy transport and logistics environment
Adhere to all workplace health and safety procedures
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
Assist with manual handling duties when required

About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
A current and valid Forklift Licence (LF)
Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift
Demonstrated experience loading and unloading various freight profiles
Strong understanding of load restraint, weight distribution, and freight handling principles
A commitment to workplace health and safety
Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual handling tasks
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
A strong work ethic with a reliable and dependable attitude
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Exceptional punctuality and attendance standards
