Role Description
n
The position supports Air Force Capability across both strategic and deployed operations and encompasses management of key engineering processes required for the day-to-day management of RAAF warfighter systems.
n
Indicative Services / Tasks
n
n
Plan and deliver system safety engineering services, regulatory compliance, resource management and project outcomes.
n
Coordinate, direct and evaluate system safety activities in a CLC setting.
n
Conduct capability and concept development within the IC3SPO and CAF16 system safety program.
n
Conduct system safety analysis, development and V&V.;
n
Provide advice and guidance on system safety engineering analysis techniques, processes and software assurance.
n
Conduct reviews of contract deliverables.
n

The engineer will also evaluate technical and design packages from a safety perspective, follow CASG and SPO strategic safety direction and exercise assigned Technical Authority delegations.

Qualifications
n
n
Engineers Australia Professional Engineering Stage 2 competencies.
n
Four-year engineering degree (AQF Level 7) in a relevant discipline recognised under the Washington Accord.
n
Chartered Professional Engineer or equivalent.
n
Minimum one year's experience within a materiel system safety program.
