Reporting directly to the Senior Accountant, the Part-Time Accountant will be entrusted to work on a variety of Accounting & Taxation clients. This role is particularly well-suited to professionals looking to return to the workforce who are looking for flexibility, understanding, and a workplace that genuinely values balance. Position Type: Part-Time (3 days in office – Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm) with chance for more days to be ascertained.
Key responsibilities
Preparation of Income Tax Returns (including Investment Properties, CGT)
End of Year Financial Statements for SMEs & SMSFs
Business and Instalment Activity Statements (BAS & IAS)
Prompt and accurate client query resolution
Liaison with ATO and third parties on client matters
About you
Minimum 5 years of Australian public practice experience
Bachelor's degree in business/accounting or advanced Diploma in Business/Accounting (TAFE)
Familiarity with ACCESS HandiSoft preferred




Proficiency in Cloud and Desktop-based software (Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks, Reckon)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and ability to thrive under pressure
Effective time management and organizational abilities
Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Australian or NZ citizenship or permanent residency required
