Position Summary :
The EI Installer is responsible for the upgrade, installation, testing and commissioning of electronic security systems within existing residential, commercial and mixed-use buildings. Working primarily on upgrade and retrofit projects, the role includes intercom, access control, CCTV and automation systems. The EI Installer will interpret plans, complete fit-off works, troubleshoot faults and ensure systems operate to specification. The role requires working professionally within occupied environments while minimising disruption to residents and stakeholders. A strong focus on safety, quality workmanship and customer service is essential.
The role requires a high standard of workmanship, professionalism, and customer service while maintaining compliance with Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements, site procedures, and industry regulations.
Key Requirements :
Minimum 5+ years' experience in:
Electronic security
Electrical
Communications
Technical service environments




Strong fault finding and troubleshooting capability
Experience with automation systems highly regarded
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics
Job Responsibility :
Install, test, commission, and service electronic security systems including:
CCTV
Access Control
Intercom Systems
Automation Systems
Associated infrastructure
Deliver works across both NI and EI projects
Ensure all systems operate in accordance with project specifications and company standards
Technical Support & Fault Finding
Diagnose faults and perform repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance
Provide advanced fault finding and troubleshooting support
Act as a senior technical resource for technicians, supervisors, and project teams
Support escalation management and resolution of complex technical issues
Project & Stakeholder Coordination
Work closely with:

Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and within project timelines
Maintain effective communication with stakeholders throughout project delivery
Documentation & Technical Compliance
Read and interpret:
Plans
Schematics
Technical documentation
Complete testing records, service reports, and project documentation accurately and professionally
Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards
Maintenance & System Reliability
Complete preventative maintenance and service works
Ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably
Reduce repeat faults, downtime, and callbacks through quality workmanship
