MIGAS Apprentices and Trainees – Dandenong VIC
In partnership with our host employer, Foodcare, we are currently seeking a full-time Warehousing Trainee to join their team in Dandenong South.
Foodcare supplies the food industry with over 5,000 product lines across hygiene, PPE, cleaning, packaging and warehouse products. Supporting more than 1,600 food processing sites across Australia, Foodcare provides everything from disposable gloves to metal detectable pens, allowing food processors to source more products from one trusted supplier.

Undertaking this two-year traineeship will give you the opportunity to put theory into practice, complete a TLI***** Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations, and gain valuable workplace experience to set you up for a successful career in the industry.
Working as part of the warehouse team, you will undertake a range of duties including:
Accurately picking customer orders using RF scanners and warehouse management systems
Packing products safely and securely for dispatch
Receiving and unloading incoming stock deliveries
Putting stock away in the correct warehouse locations
Replenishing pick faces and maintaining stock availability
Conducting cycle counts and inventory checks
Loading and unloading trucks in accordance with safety procedures
Maintaining warehouse cleanliness and housekeeping standards
Following all workplace health and safety procedures
Assisting with general warehouse duties as directed by supervisors
Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Full-time employment, including paid annual and personal leave
Access to 1:1 mentoring and support




Earn while you learn and complete a nationally recognised qualification
Hands-on training and practical warehouse experience

About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated candidate who is genuinely interested in building a career in warehousing and supply chain operations.
You will ideally have:
Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
Forklift licence and experience desirable but not essential
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Reliable and punctual approach to work
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Safety-conscious approach and ability to follow procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks
Basic computer skills
Previous warehouse, picking, packing or logistics experience desirable but not essential
Experience using RF scanners or warehouse management systems desirable
Experience with receiving, put-away, replenishment and dispatch activities desirable
Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures desirable
Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check
