We're currently looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for mechanics or technicians looking for a stable, long-term position with variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to upskill into a specialised industry.
This is a hands-on field service role working on diesel and electric fire pump systems across Melbourne and greater Victoria. You'll attend a range of sites, carrying out servicing, fault finding, repairs, and system testing.
This role suits candidates from a wide range of backgrounds, including:
Heavy vehicle or mobile plant mechanics
Industrial or maintenance fitters
Pump or mechanical service technicians
Full training is provided - including fire systems, controllers, and compliance - so no prior fire industry experience is required.
Key Responsibilities
Service and repair diesel engines, pumps, and associated equipment
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults
Carry out installation and replacement of pumps and motors




Perform routine testing and inspections
Complete service reports and job documentation
Work safely and in line with compliance standards
What We're Looking For
Trade or hands-on experience in mechanical and/or electrical work
Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
Ability to work independently in a field-based role
Good communication and a professional approach
Police Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
Flexibility with start times and occasional overtime
Physically fit for manual work
