Darling Group's Functions & Events team is growing, and we're looking for experienced, energetic
event waitstaff and bartenders
to join our team across some of Melbourne's most distinctive event spaces.
From weddings and cocktail parties to corporate events, private dinners and large-scale celebrations, you'll work across incredible venues including
Higher Ground, The Terrace and The Observatory at Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne
, as well as other Darling Group locations throughout Melbourne.

The Role
As part of our events team, you'll help deliver polished, attentive and memorable service from event set-up through to the final guest departure.
Event Waitstaff
Provide professional food and beverage service
Tray and canapé service
Wine and beverage service
Table service for seated events
Assist with event set-up, resets and pack-down
Work closely with supervisors, chefs and the wider events team to keep service running smoothly
Event Bartenders
Set up and operate event bars
Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer and spirits
Deliver fast, friendly and accurate service during high-volume events
Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked bar
Assist with bar set-up and pack-down
About You
We're looking for people who are confident, reliable and genuinely enjoy hospitality.
You'll ideally have:




Previous experience in functions, events, restaurants or bars
A warm, professional and guest-focused approach
Excellent communication and presentation
The ability to remain calm and switched on during busy services
Solid attention to detail and a great work ethic
Availability for evening and weekend shifts, particularly Fridays and Saturdays
A current Victorian RSA for bartending and beverage service roles
Experience is highly regarded, but we're also happy to hear from enthusiastic hospitality people with the right attitude who are keen to develop their event experience.
