About the Role
Your responsibilities may include:
Providing personal care and assistance with daily living activities.
Supporting transfers, repositioning and mobility using appropriate equipment.
Assisting with showering, dressing, grooming and toileting.
Supporting meal preparation and feeding as required.
Assisting with medication in accordance with the client's support plan and relevant procedures.
Assisting the client with
urinary catheter and leg bag care, including emptying and monitoring the leg bag as required
Maintaining a clean, safe and comfortable workplace.
Following the client's individual care plan, manual-handling procedures and health and safety requirements.
Communicating respectfully with the client, family members and other members of the support team.




Recognising and appropriately reporting any changes in the client's condition or wellbeing.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
Has experience supporting people with physical disabilities.
Is confident providing personal care and physical assistance.
Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is patient, empathetic, trustworthy and respectful.
Understands the importance of privacy, dignity and client choice.
Is reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
Is willing to learn and follow specific client routines and care requirements.
Essential / Desirable Requirements
Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
Previous experience with physical support needs.
Experience and demonstrated competency in
complex bowel care and urinary catheter care
, with a strong commitment to safe, respectful and person-centred support.
Mandarin speaking
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Working with Children Check.
Current driver's licence, if required.
Manual handling training and experience using hoists and other mobility equipment.
Current Flu vaccination
Current Police check
