About the Role
You will take the lead on the delivery of a 10-level apartment development in West Melbourne, managing the project through construction, completion and handover. As the senior project lead, you will be responsible for the overall commercial, programme and operational performance of the project while leading the wider site and project team.
Key responsibilities include:
Full ownership of project delivery, programme and commercial performance
Leading and coordinating the Site Manager, CA and wider project team
Managing subcontractor procurement, contracts and performance
Driving programme and ensuring key project milestones are achieved
Managing client, consultant and stakeholder relationships
Overseeing variations, forecasting, reporting and project risk
Maintaining high standards across quality, safety and project governance
Providing leadership and mentoring across the project team

Job Requirements
Ideally 8+ years' construction experience
Strong and proven Head Contractor experience is essential
Previous experience delivering multi-level apartment projects
Experience working within established Tier 2 or similarly structured contractors highly regarded
Demonstrated experience taking ownership of projects from construction through to handover
Strong commercial and contractual capability
Proven ability to lead Site Managers, Contract Administrators and project teams
Strong understanding of programming, procurement and construction methodology
Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or similar
