This is an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Director to work alongside a knowledgeable and supportive Centre Director and play an important role in maintaining high standards across people, practice and operations.
Assistant Director/2IC – St Kilda, VIC
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Centre Director in leading and developing the team.
Maintaining strong quality and compliance practices.
Supporting WHS, risk management and child safety requirements.
Coordinating staff documentation, qualifications and compliance requirements.
Leading staff inductions and onboarding.
Conducting centre tours and supporting family enrolments.
Contributing to the QIP and continuous improvement.
Supporting rostering and day-to-day operations.
Building robust relationships with educators, children and families.
Modelling high-quality practice and supporting educators in their professional development.

About You
You are an experienced early childhood professional ready to bring confidence, initiative and strong organisational skills to a leadership position.
You'll bring:
Diploma or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care.
Previous leadership experience within an early learning service.
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and EYLF.
Confidence across compliance, documentation and Assessment & Rating.
Experience with OWNA is highly regarded
Strong pedagogical knowledge and the ability to support quality practice.
A calm, organised and solutions‐focused approach.
Solid communication and relationship-building skills.
The confidence to coach, guide and hold others accountable.
Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates.
Current Working with Children Check.
Most importantly, you are someone who enjoys being part of a leadership team. You can bring your own ideas and experience while working collaboratively with the Centre Director to create the best possible outcomes for educators, children and families.
