Job Description
We are partnering with a well-established industrial solutions provider to appoint a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across Victoria.
n
This is a true hunter role, suited to someone who enjoys being out in the field, opening doors, and creating opportunities rather than managing a static account list.
n
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will operate as an individual contributor, supported by technical specialists and internal sales resources.
n
Your focus will be approximately 70% new business development and 30% account and opportunity development, with solid growth potential in:

Wood and timber manufacturing
n
Metal fabrication and welding environments
n
n
You will also engage customers across food production, education, marine, composites, and chemical applications.
n
Key responsibilities
n
n
Proactive prospecting through site visits, cold outreach, phone, and email
n
Building a pipeline across capital solutions, parts, and service offerings
n
Identifying customer needs and positioning tailored technical solutions
n
Bringing engineers into opportunities when system design is required
n
Selling service agreements and preventative maintenance solutions
n
Maintaining accurate CRM activity and pipeline reporting
n

About You
n

Proven experience in business development or new business sales
n
Comfortable with cold calling, face-to-face selling, and rejection
n
Experience selling technical or complex solutions (industry experience helpful, not essential)
n
Strong follow‐up, objection handling, and pipeline discipline
n
Self‐motivated, energetic, and commercially minded
n
Australian working rights and a current driver's licence
n

Package

Salary around $125K + super + car, opportunity to scale up based on experience.

Annual bonus structure, with incentives commencing from 85% of target.
