The Opportunity – Senior Actuarial Analyst
n
This role plays a key part in supporting Medibank's strategic and financial decision-making by delivering high-quality forecasting,
actuarialanalysisand
business insights across our Health Insurance portfolios. Reporting to the Manager, Claims & Revenue, you will be a member of the Forecasting team within Actuarial & Investment Services, contributing to the delivery of forecasts that support sustainable growth, customervalueand better health outcomes.

Working closely with stakeholders across Finance, Actuarial and the broader business, you willprovidedata-driven
insights,maintainand
enhance forecasting models, and support key commercial and strategic decisions through robust actuarial analysis and business partnering.

How you will create value
n
In this broad and dynamic role, you will add value by:
n
n
Supporting the delivery of forecasts across Medibank's forecasting cycle, including the annual corporate plan,
periodicforecastsand
monthly spot forecasts.
n
Developing,maintainingand
monitoring forecast assumptions through analysis of volume,revenueand claims
trends,identifyingkey
risks,opportunitiesand
emerging issues.
n
Producing insightful analysis to explain business performance, forecast variances and underlying drivers to support decision-making.
n
Enhancing
andmaintainingforecasting
methodologies,modelsand




tools to improve accuracy,
efficiency,transparencyand
governance.
n
Providing scenario analysis and forecasting input to support pricing decisions,
regulatorysubmissionsand
strategic planning activities.
n
Building trusted relationships with stakeholders across Finance, Actuarial and operational business areas to coordinate forecasting inputs
andprovideactuarial
advice.
n
Undertaking actuarial investigations and presenting clear, actionable insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
n
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives through the application of new analytical techniques,
automationopportunitiesand
innovative forecasting approaches.

About you
n
You are an analytically minded actuarial skilled with experience delivering insights and forecasting solutions in a complex business environment. You enjoy solving problems, partnering
withstakeholdersand
translating data into meaningful commercial outcomes.
n
Key attributes and experience include:
n
n
Strong actuarial modelling and analytical capabilities, including
advancedproficiencyin
Excel, R and SQL.
n
Demonstrated 3 years' experience in an actuarial, forecasting or analytical role, ideally gained within insurance, health or financial services.
n
Experience working with large datasets, databases and forecasting or statistical modelling techniques.
n




Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex actuarial analysis into clear commercial insights for technical and non-technical audiences.
n
Significant progresstowards Fellowship with the Institute of Actuaries of Australia (or an equivalent international actuarial body).
n
Tertiary qualifications in actuarial studies, statistics, finance,businessor another quantitative discipline.
