Sarkaria Autozone is seeking a skilled and reliable full-time Motor Mechanic to join our team in Truganina, Victoria. This role is essential to ensuring high-quality vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair work while maintaining safety and customer satisfaction standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in a wide range of vehicles using diagnostic equipment and technical tools
Carrying out repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, and steering components
Conducting routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and general vehicle inspections
Dismantling and reassembling vehicle components and engines as required
Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after repair to ensure proper performance and safety
Performing scheduled maintenance services in accordance with manufacturer specifications
Inspecting vehicles to identify wear and damage and recommending appropriate repairs
Ensuring all work complies with workplace health and safety regulations and industry standards
Maintaining accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service schedules
Ordering and managing spare parts and workshop supplies as required
Keeping the workshop clean, organised,



and compliant with safety standards
Communicating effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair timelines, and costs
Assisting in training and mentoring junior mechanics or apprentices when required
Position Requirements
The successful candidate must meet the following criteria:
Hold a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification
Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic
Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques
Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment effectively
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices
Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Good communication and organisational skills
Availability to work flexible schedule if required
Commitment to long-term employment
