We're seeking an organised and compassionate
Support Worker
to join our Family Violence team. This pivotal role ensures our Specialist Practitioners can deliver life-changing support when it matters most.
Key Responsibilities
Upload client referrals from providers like The Orange Door and Safe Steps into SHIP.
Organise emergency accommodation and liaise with providers.
Manage invoices, maintain accurate records, and oversee inventory (including safety devices).
Provide relief reception and assist with client contact and welfare checks when needed.
Ensure client support records are accurate and up to date.
Initiate client contact (phone/text) for welfare checks when practitioners are unavailable.
Provide general team support and other duties as needed.
About you
Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Strong admin skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (SHIP experience an advantage).
Reception experience and knowledge of privacy, confidentiality, and child safety standards
Adaptable, resilient, and empathetic with excellent communication skills.
Understanding of family violence and ability to engage with diverse communities.
Experience in fast-paced environments and a commitment to continuous learning.
Requirements
Current Driver's Licence & Working With Children Check.
Police check and pre-employment screening.
