Casual Logistics Assistant | 2 days per week after initial full-time training | Williamtown, NSW

Martin-Baker Australia is seeking a Logistics Assistant to join our Williamtown, NSW facility.
n
Employment arrangement:
n
The role will begin on a casual basis.
n
For the first two weeks, the successful applicant must be available to work Monday to Thursday, from 7:30am to 4:30pm to complete intensive training.
n
After the training period, the usual work pattern will be two days per week in the Monday to Thursday window.
n
The position will support the Commercial Officer with:
n
n
Receipting incoming goods and checking them against purchase orders and delivery documentation
n
Maintaining hazardous substance registers
n
Monitoring deliveries and following up delayed or missing shipments
n
Preparing packing slips, labels and courier documentation
n
Booking freight and couriers
n
Coordinating internal movement of goods between sites or departments
n
Updating stock, inventory and asset records
n
Preparing basic logistics reports and status updates
n
n

Flexible pathway: Complete full time intensive training for the first two weeks,



then work two days per week with the opportunity to transition to permanent part-time after 6 months.

Structured training: Develop practical capability in our logistics processes, business systems and administrative procedures with potential growth within the Commercial Department.
n
Specialist environment: Work within an established aviation safety business and support the Commercial Officer with important logistics activities.
n
Our operations span Williamtown (NSW), RAAF Base Pearce (WA) and East Sale (VIC).

Key qualifications and skills
n
n
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate data entry and recordkeeping.
n
Ability to obtain an Australian Defence security clearance.
n
Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check.
n
Basic Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn relevant business systems.
n
Ability to follow written procedures and complete tasks accurately.
n
Strong organisation skills and the ability to coordinate competing priorities.
n
A reliable, dedicated approach, with a willingness to learn, ask questions and seek support when needed.
n
n
Successful applicants will work in an ISO ****:****, AS**** and DASA Part 145 certified environment.
