A well-established and growing Project Management Consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering technically complex projects across Australia.
With an expanding pipeline of major Data Centre projects, they are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join their Melbourne team. The business offers a collaborative environment, direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to work with high-profile clients across some of the most technically challenging projects in the market.
About the Role:
As Project Manager, you will work across the planning, design and delivery of Data Centre projects, managing projects from the early design and procurement stages through construction, commissioning and handover.
Given the highly technical nature of the projects, the role would particularly suit someone who comes from a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background and has transitioned into Project Management.
Candidates with an Architectural background and strong Data Centre experience will also be considered, alongside Project Managers coming from similarly complex environments such as Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or major Healthcare projects.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing projects across design, procurement, construction and commissioning
Coordinating consultants, contractors and key project stakeholders
Managing complex Mechanical and Electrical services packages
Driving programme, cost,



quality and project outcomes
Leading design coordination and constructability reviews
Managing project reporting, risk and commercial matters
Supporting commissioning, handover and project close-out
Building strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders
Job Requirements:
Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline
Ideally previous Data Centre project experience
Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences or complex Healthcare experience will also be considered
Strong understanding of technically complex MEP/services-heavy projects
Experience working as a Project Manager within a consultancy, contractor, developer or client-side environment
Strong design management and consultant coordination skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability
Ability to manage projects through multiple stages of the project lifecycle
Work on major Data Centre projects in a rapidly growing sector
Robust pipeline of technically complex projects
