As a Senior Associate, you will be responsible for managing complex litigation and insolvency matters with a high degree of autonomy while working collaboratively with the Senior Associates, Special Counsel and Directors. This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded litigation lawyer looking to take the next step in their career, work alongside experienced Directors and contribute to the leadership and development of a successful and expanding national firm.
Key responsibilities
Managing commercial litigation matters from commencement through to resolution
Advising clients on dispute resolution strategies, commercial risk and litigation outcomes
Conducting debt recovery and enforcement proceedings across various jurisdictions
Acting for liquidators, trustees, administrators and receivers in insolvency-related matters
Preparing and prosecuting statutory demands, winding up applications and bankruptcy proceedings
Advising on enforcement strategies, securities enforcement and recovery actions
Drafting pleadings, affidavits, applications, submissions and technical legal correspondence
Appearing at mediations, settlement conferences and court hearings
Briefing and instructing Counsel and expert witnesses
Negotiating commercial settlements and delivering practical outcomes for clients
About you
5+ years' post-admission experience in commercial litigation, debt recovery and insolvency
Admission to practice in Australia and a current Practising Certificate




Demonstrated experience managing complex litigation matters with minimal supervision
Experience acting in insolvency and restructuring matters, including corporate and personal insolvency
Strong advocacy, negotiation and dispute resolution skills
Excellent drafting and technical legal abilities
Proven experience building and maintaining client relationships
Experience mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to team development
A pragmatic, commercially focused approach to legal problem-solving
Strong organisational and matter management skills
