Peninsula Products is looking for a reliable, hands-on mechanic or service technician to maintain and repair our specialist concrete grinding and polishing equipment.
This is primarily a workshop-based role working across grinders, industrial dust extractors, generators and related hire equipment. You'll also occasionally assist with equipment deliveries, collections and customer demonstrations when additional driving capacity is required.
Concrete-flooring experience is not essential—we can teach you the machinery and applications.

About the role
Your responsibilities will include:
Diagnosing mechanical and equipment faults
Servicing and repairing our hire fleet
Replacing bearings, belts, motors, cables, switches and other components
Completing preventative maintenance and off-hire inspections
Testing equipment and ensuring it is safe and ready for hire
Recording repairs, parts used and outstanding faults
Maintaining spare-parts stock and an organised workshop
Preparing equipment for upcoming bookings
Assisting with deliveries, collections and demonstrations when required




Working with the team to prioritise urgent repairs and hire requirements
About you
You may come from equipment hire, mechanical fitting, small-engine repair, power-tool servicing, plant machinery or another hands-on mechanical environment.
We're looking for someone who has:
Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills
Experience servicing machinery, tools or equipment
A practical and methodical approach to problem-solving
Good organisation and record-keeping habits
A strong focus on safety and equipment presentation
A full Victorian driver's license
Confidence towing trailers and transporting machinery
The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Explicit, respectful communication and a willingness to accept direction
A reliable and professional attitude
A relevant trade qualification and White Card would be advantageous but are not essential for the right person.
