Our Crane Service Technician plays a key role in the success and reputation of HES Cranes. They are an important link between our customers, HES Cranes Products & Services, and our suppliers. They understand what is important to our customers, and this generates positive outcomes by developing relationships built on trust and respect.
Work with a supportive team in this predominantly internal role. On the job training will be provided for this position which is well suited to someone who likes to be busy. An ability to quickly grasp an extensive product range and existing procedures is essential.

To qualify for this position, we require:
Victorian 'A' grade electrical licence.
EWP licence (advantageous).
VSD (variable speed drives) experience (advantageous).
Wire Rope & Chain Hoists.
You must be available for reasonable overtime when and if required.
Skills & Experience to assist you in this position:
AQF Associate Degree,



Advanced Diploma or Diploma or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
Previous experience in the crane industry preferred (not essential).
Experience working on leading brand hoists - Kito / Stahl / GIS / Konecranes.
Motor control experience required.
Ability to multitask and priorities your workloads.
Good knowledge of OH&S;/ QMS requirements. Training will be provided.
Job duties and responsibilities:
Maintenance of the electrical / mechanical components of overhead cranes and hoists
Assembling, installing, testing, calibrating, modifying, and repairing the electrical and mechanical components of overhead cranes, wire rope hoists, and chain hoists to ensure conformity with industry regulations and company safety guidelines.
Inspecting completed crane installations and serviced lifting equipment for compliance with technical specifications and accurately reporting on the condition of the equipment to customers.
Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, and technical documentation to effectively troubleshoot and maintain crane systems, motor controls, and variable speed drives (VSD).
Ability to report on condition of equipment and discuss with customers.
Maintain accurate service reports and maintenance documentation.
Able to follow Company procedures and safety guidelines.
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience (advantageous).
Enter accurate information into HES Cranes 'CORE' Inspection Data Management System and other QMS.
