Job Description
We're looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to take ownership of the commercial function across a growing portfolio of construction and development projects in Brisbane.

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who combines strong commercial and contractual expertise with the ability to lead a team, influence project outcomes and work closely with senior management.
n
You'll oversee the commercial performance of projects from tender handover through to final account, while leading and developing the Contract Administration team.
n
Key responsibilities will include:
n

Leading the commercial function across multiple projects
n
Managing and mentoring Contract Administrators
n
Overseeing subcontract procurement, tender reviews and commercial negotiations
n
Managing project budgets, cost-to-complete forecasting and financial reporting
n
Reviewing project performance and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
n
Managing progress claims, variations, EOTs and final accounts
n
Supporting project teams with contractual and commercial matters
n
Managing disputes, adjudications and security of payment matters
n
Driving strong commercial governance,



processes and reporting across the business
n
Working closely with senior leadership, project teams, subcontractors, consultants and external advisors
n
n
We're looking for someone with:
n
n
Strong commercial management experience within construction, development or a closely related workplace
n
Extensive contract administration and subcontractor management experience
n
Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting and cost control
n
Experience managing claims, variations and contractual disputes
n
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
n
The ability to lead, mentor and develop a commercial team
n
Sound commercial judgement and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders
n
A proactive approach to risk management and improving project profitability
n
n
Experience with Security of Payment legislation and the Queensland Building Industry Fairness Act would be highly regarded.
n
