About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineering Manager to lead the delivery of complex engineering programs within a highly regulated and safety-critical environment. This role is responsible for managing engineering scope, schedule, budget, risk, and team performance while ensuring robust governance and compliance outcomes.
n
Depending on project requirements, the role may involve leading design projects, supporting maintenance programs, or managing a specialist engineering discipline.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams to successfully deliver project outcomes.
n
Manage engineering scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
n
Ensure engineering activities comply with governance, quality, and safety requirements.
n
Oversee subcontractors and external engineering resources.
n
Develop project recovery strategies where required.
n
Mentor, coach, and develop engineering personnel.
n
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
n
Deliver clear and accurate project reporting.
n

Skills & Experience
n
n
Degree qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
n
Formal project management and/or systems engineering qualifications desirable.
n
Proven experience delivering complex engineering projects in defence, maritime, aerospace, infrastructure, mining, or similarly regulated industries.
n
Strong project management and leadership capability.
n




Experience leading multidisciplinary technical teams.
n
Solid understanding of engineering governance, configuration management, safety, and lifecycle management.
n
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
n
Experience managing suppliers and subcontractors.
n
