Jalplas
, producingrigid plastic containers & lids used in the food manufacturing sector via a range of extrusion blow moulding and injection moulding machinery. About the Role
The
Production Manager
is responsible for maintaining the overall business. The incumbent will work in tandem with all site staff, including upper management, Maintenance Technicians,



and Operators to ensure the core business requirements are managed and customer expectations are met. The Production Manager will oversee all aspects of operations, quality, safety, cost & budgets, inventory, distribution, continuous improvement, resource/personnel management and most importantly customer service requirements.
Key Responsibilities include:
Provide direction to operations team on production plans and operations requirements
Develop and lead the operations team, including managing performance
Efficient management of business operations with a continuous improvement mindset
Monitor and oversee the overall Quality Management System, with a view to improve or optimize existing processes
Ensure appropriate investigation, corrective, and preventative actions with regards to issues identified in the manufacturing chain processes
Lead site to reduce customer/consumer/supplier complaints, via process implementation or improvement
Assist Quality Manager with HACCP Certification, via implementation, training and compliance to Quality Processes and Procedures
Ensure Jalplas team is equipped to execute on all quality processes and procedures, via appropriate training, and site operates in accordance with relevant regulatory guidelines such as GMP
Assist in developing strategies for the future of the business
About You
At least 7 years of experience with plastic manufacturing/blow mould
3-5 years experience in people management
A Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Business Management or related fields is preferred
Strong understanding of HACCP principles and applications
SAP experience in managing quality data is highly regarded.
