SA Heart is seeking an experienced IT Support Officer to join our internal ICT team and provide high-quality technology support across the organisation. Reporting to the ICT Manager, the role will provide first and second level support across end-user devices, Microsoft platforms, identity and access, and day-to-day IT operations. Working closely with the Business Analyst and Systems Administrator, the successful candidate will also contribute to service improvement, automation and technical projects.

The full-time role is based at our head office at Ashford, with travel to other SA Heart sites as required.
n
The Role
n
Working through the service desk, the IT Support Officer will provide timely and professional support across SA Heart. Key responsibilities include:
n
n
1st and 2nd level helpdesk support, including triage, troubleshooting, resolution and escalation of incidents and service requests.
n
User onboarding, offboarding and access management across Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID.
n
Administration of user accounts, groups, permissions and Group Policy.
n
Provisioning,
configuration and lifecycle management of desktops, laptops and other endpoints through standardised endpoint management processes.
n
Helpdesk coordination, ticket prioritisation, escalation, documentation and KPI/service reporting.
n
Providing day-to-day support for phone systems, including user setup, call routing, desk phones and softphones, and troubleshooting or escalating issues as required.
n
Identifying opportunities to automate routine IT administration and improve helpdesk processes, and
n
Supporting a healthcare environment and collaborating with the Systems Administrator and Application Support Officer on day-to-day operations and technical projects.

The Successful Applicant
n
We are looking for a hands-on IT support professional with a practical, service-focused approach. The successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience:
n
n
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar IT support role, with experience in a business or healthcare environment desirable.
n
Experience supporting Windows 11, Microsoft 365 (Office 365), Teams, SharePoint, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and Group Policy.
n
Experience with user and access administration, endpoint provisioning, device management and end-user troubleshooting.
n
Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to users.
n
Robust problem-solving skills, attention to detail, sound documentation practices and a willingness to take ownership of issues, and
n
A high level of motivation and commitment to ongoing learning, together with a current driver's licence and willingness to undergo a police check.
