Learning Assistants play a vital role in supporting the learning, engagement, and wellbeing of our students. Working closely with teachers and wellbeing staff, Learning Assistants help to create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every student can achieve their personal and educational goals.
n
You will assist in implementing tailored learning programs, provide classroom and individual support, and build meaningful relationships that promote confidence, independence, and resilience in students.
n
Key Responsibilities Include:

Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons and learning activities that meet diverse student needs.
n
Provide individual and small-group assistance to students to help them access learning materials and develop essential skills.
n
Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)



and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
n
Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement, wellbeing, and a sense of belonging.
n
Collaborate with teachers, wellbeing teams, and other staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning workplace.
n
Support students' social and emotional development by modelling positive behaviours and promoting resilience.
n
Contribute to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom and school culture.
n

Abou You:
n
n
You are passionate about supporting young people who have disengaged from mainstream education.
n
You demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in responding to students' diverse needs.
n
You have excellent communication and teamwork skills and value collaboration.
n
Experience in education support, youth work, social work or disability support (or relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III/IV in Education Support) will be highly regarded.
n
