Dental for Everybody is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team on a casual basis at our Chirnside Park location. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a dynamic dental practice where you will provide essential support to our dentists. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth clinical operations, maintaining high standards of patient care, and contributing to a welcoming environment for our patients. This casual position offers flexibility whilst allowing you to make a meaningful difference in patients' oral health outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Assisting dentists during clinical procedures by preparing instruments, materials and equipment
Providing chairside support to ensure patient comfort and safety during dental treatments
Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
Recording patient medical and dental histories and maintaining accurate clinical notes
Preparing treatment rooms and restocking supplies as required
Greeting patients, scheduling appointments and managing reception duties
Supporting the dental team with administrative tasks including filing, data entry and organisation of patient records
Maintaining a clean, hygienic and professional environment throughout the practice
Following all health and safety regulations and infection control procedures




What we're looking for
Completion of a Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting, or equivalent qualification recognised by the Dental Board of Australia
Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Dental Assistant, or eligibility to register
Knowledge of dental procedures, terminology and clinical protocols
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate approach to patient care
Ability to work effectively as part of a team-oriented dental team
Basic computer skills for managing patient records and appointment systems
