We are looking for a permanent full-time Chef to join our friendly kitchen team at our Restaurant. We see ourselves as being in the Cheering up industry trying to make people smile with outstanding food, drink and experiences. Job description duties and responsibilities:
Plan menus, seasonal specials and function offerings; estimate food and labour costs; and order food supplies and kitchen stock
Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation to ensure a consistent standard
Discuss food preparation and service issues with management, kitchen and waiting staff,



and dietary/nutrition requirements where required
Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise kitchen staff on cooking procedures
Prepare and cook food across all sections of the menu, including seafood and grill
Explain and enforce hygiene and food safety regulations, including safe food handling and allergen management
Select and train kitchen staff
Freeze and preserve foods to manage stock and minimise wastage
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS
We are seeking a candidate who possesses the following qualifications, experience, and abilities:
Relevant AQF Certificate IV in kitchen management, Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma qualification.
1-3 years of relevant, full-time employment experience, depending upon qualifications held.
Ability to work on a full-time basis essential.
