About the Role:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated
Structural Steel Estimator
to join our Pre-Construction team based at our Brisbane head office.

for a diverse range of structural steel projects, the idec Pre-Construction team is the place for you.
Reporting to the General Manager, this is a varied role in which you will be responsible for estimating and tendering projects to $10M.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate estimate preparation, calculate/prepare quantities and compile proposals.
Establish and maintain business development.
Liaise with suppliers and contractors to obtain competitive pricing.
Review tender documents assessing the scope, risks and tender complexity.
Conduct site inspections for understanding, analysis of conditions and assessment of risk if necessary.
Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Skills and Experiences:
MUST
reside and hold full working rights in Australia.
3 to 5 years of experience in the structural steel industry.
The ability to produce Building Cost Estimates/Tender submissions with a high degree of accuracy and success.
Results-orientated and able to work autonomously and within a team environment.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with estimating software such as Strumis or Tekla Powerfab highly regarded.
Ability to estimate from first principles.
