Senior site-based role working across complex structures, formwork, precast, and high-risk construction activities

The Company
This established Queensland construction business specialises in the delivery of large-scale, high-end residential developments. Rather than operating across a high volume of projects, the business typically delivers a select number of major developments at any one time, allowing its teams to maintain a strong focus on quality, safety and project delivery.

With an experienced construction team and a solid pipeline of major residential projects, they are now looking to appoint an experienced HSE Advisor to take responsibility for safety on a significant high-rise development in the city.

The Role
In this role you will be the standalone HSE Advisor on a landmark multi-storey apartment development, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Managers, Supervisors and subcontractors to drive HSE performance throughout the build.

With the project currently in the early structural stages, you'll have exposure to complex and high-risk construction activities including formwork, precast, temporary structures and internal climbing crane operations.

This is a highly visible site role requiring someone who is confident operating autonomously,



engaging with trades and challenging unsafe practices where required. You'll have support from senior HSE leadership, who regularly attend the project, while also having the autonomy to take ownership of day-to-day HSE performance.

The business is also looking to bring a junior HSE professional into the team, giving you the opportunity to provide guidance and mentoring as the project progresses.

Duties:

- Site based HSE Advisor for a prestigious multi-storey project in the city
- Maintain a highly visible safety presence across the site
- Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance monitoring
- Support and mentor more junior members of the team

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a HSE Advisor within multi-residential or high-rise construction
- Exposure to complex structural construction activities such as formwork, precast or temporary structures
- Confident working autonomously as the primary HSE representative on site
- Relevant WHS qualifications
