About the Company

An established structural engineering consultancy is looking to add a Senior Structural Engineer to its Sydney team.

The business has built a strong reputation for working on high-end residential, bespoke and technically interesting projects, often involving complex structures and designs.

You’ll be working closely with clients, builders and other consultants from concept through to completion, with the opportunity to have genuine input into the design rather than simply following a standardised process.

About the Role

This is a hands-on Senior Structural Engineer position for someone who enjoys technically challenging work and wants to be involved in projects where there is a bit more creativity involved.

You’ll work across a range of high-end residential and bespoke projects.

The role will involve:

- Structural analysis and design across concrete, steel and timber structures
- Working on high-end residential and bespoke projects
- Developing practical and innovative structural solutions
- Liaising directly with clients, builders and other consultants
- Producing and reviewing engineering documentation
- Conducting site inspections and providing construction support
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the wider technical team

About You





You’ll ideally be a Senior Structural Engineer with around 7+ years' Australian experience, although the right person with slightly less or more experience will be considered.

We're looking for someone who:

- Has strong structural design experience within a consultancy workplace
- Has worked across residential and/or bespoke projects
- Enjoys solving unusual or technically challenging structural problems
- Can confidently liaise with clients, builders and other project stakeholders
- Is comfortable taking ownership of projects from concept through to delivery
- Has strong knowledge of Australian Standards and structural design principles
- Wants to work on interesting projects rather than repetitive, volume-based work
