Clarke Services Group (CSG) is looking for a skilled, reliable and safety-focused Maintenance Carpenter to join our Brisbane-based team.

We are a family-owned Queensland business with a history dating back to 1919, delivering construction and facilities maintenance services across commercial, government, defence, education, retail and community environments.

This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced carpenter who enjoys variety, autonomy and problem-solving rather than being on the same construction site every day.

You'll work across a diverse client portfolio, completing everything from reactive maintenance and make-safe works to planned repairs, refurbishments and small construction projects.

About the Role

Your work will include:

- Commercial building and carpentry maintenance

- Reactive and planned maintenance

- Doors, locks, door closers and hardware repairs

- Plastering, patching and painting

- Minor concrete repairs

- Floor, wall tiling repairs and patching

- Property repairs and make-secure works

- Minor refurbishments and construction works

- Building and asset upgrades

- Identifying issues and practical solutions while onsite

- Communicating professionally with clients and site representatives

- Completing required job documentation and service reports

- Working independently as well as alongside our wider maintenance and construction team

What We're Looking For





We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can be trusted to represent CSG professionally when working independently at client sites.

You will ideally have:

- Trade qualification in Carpentry

- Current Australian Driver Licence

- Construction Industry White Card

- Broad building maintenance and repair experience

- Strong practical problem-solving skills

- Ability to work autonomously and manage your day effectively

- Good communication and customer service skills

- Strong attention to detail

- Commitment to workplace health and safety

- Pride in delivering quality workmanship

- A reliable, professional and positive approach

Successful applicants must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the checks and clearances required for the sites they attend, including:

- Queensland Blue Card / Working with Children Check

- National Police Check

- Client-specific inductions, security clearances and site access requirements where applicable
