At Moore Engineering, we design and build purpose-built vehicle bodies for rescue vehicles, fire trucks and trailers. Demand for our work is growing, and our workload is expanding with it — which means we're looking for skilled fabricators and welders to join our team in Murray Bridge.
What You'll Do
- Manufacture custom vehicle bodies and components
- Work with aluminium, sheet metal and stainless steel (light to medium duty)
- Designing and conducting vehicle framework alterations in consultation with leadership
- Modifying assembly line vehicles to comply with special requirements
- Design and fit mechanised equipment, eg: water pumps
- Operate hydraulic presses and guillotines
- Perform MIG/TIG welding on aluminium and stainless steel
- Fold and cut materials to technical drawings
- Use hand tools for shaping, welding, bolting and cutting
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in fabrication and welding
- Experienced in working with aluminium sheet metal
- Experienced in aluminium mig and tig welding
- Solid attention to detail and the ability to read technical drawings
- A trade qualification in Vehicle Body Building and/or Welding/Boilermaking is highly desirable, but not essential
- Problem solving ability
