The opportunity

MinRes is seeking an experienced, hands-on Sustainability Lead to manage our sustainability reporting, performance and compliance function. This is a high impact opportunity for someone who combines strong technical ESG knowledge with the ability to build relationships, influence across a complex business and turn detailed data into clear, credible reporting.

Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Affairs, you will lead a direct report and take end-to-end ownership of MinRes’ sustainability reporting cycle, working closely with leaders and subject-matter experts across the organisation to deliver high-quality reporting, assurance and continuous improvement. Your work will help ensure MinRes meets evolving regulatory and stakeholder expectations while strengthening the quality, consistency and credibility of our sustainability performance and disclosures.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the delivery of internal and external sustainability reporting.
- Coordinate and quality assure MinRes’ annual materiality assessment, voluntary sustainability disclosures, Modern Slavery Statement, Board and committee papers, investor presentations and ESG-related reporting.
- Provide expert advice to Senior Management and the Board on ESG-related trends,



risks and opportunities.
- Manage the collection, validation and analysis of sustainability data and supporting narratives from across the business.
- Coordinate external assurance activities, including the preparation of evidence, documentation and responses for third-party review.
- Manage ESG questionnaires, investor and customer information requests, and the review of external ESG ratings.
- Support MinRes’ alignment with emerging ESG regulatory requirements, such as the EU Battery Regulation.
- Improve sustainability processes, systems, reporting tools and data visualisation to make reporting more efficient and insightful.
- Lead, mentor and develop a direct report while championing responsible, transparent and practical sustainability outcomes across MinRes.

What you will bring

To succeed in this role, you will be an organised and commercially minded sustainability professional who is comfortable working at pace and managing a broad reporting remit.

- A bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environment, Commerce, Accounting, Data Science/Analytics or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in corporate sustainability, ESG reporting, professional services or a similar environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading end-to-end sustainability reporting cycles, including annual sustainability reports,



Modern Slavery Statements and external assurance processes.
- A collaborative, hands-on style that delivers through periods of high reporting intensity.
- Strong knowledge of Australian and global reporting standards and frameworks, including GRI, AASB, TNFD, ICMM and the UN Global Compact.
- Experience working with auditors, external consultants and senior stakeholders to achieve assured reporting outcomes.
- The ability to work across multiple functions, gather complex information and translate it into explicit, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
- Strong data management and analytical capability, including experience handling large datasets and using reporting or visualisation tools such as Power BI.
- The confidence to challenge existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement and drive practical change.
- Experience in mining, resources, risk, finance, multi-commodity portfolios or in-house ESG reporting will be highly regarded.
