Supervisor – Faro Restaurant

Faro Restaurant is an artful MONA venue known for its eccentric, experimental dining experience, iconic wine selection, and fast-paced environment. We're looking for a dedicated Supervisor to join our team in a casual or part-time capacity.

This role is perfect for someone with strong hospitality experience, a deep appreciation for wine, and the leadership skills to guide a team in delivering outstanding dining experiences. You'll be providing key support and working closely with the Faro Restaurant Manager and lead our food and beverage teams to uphold service excellence, oversee daily operations, and ensure an exceptional experience for every guest.

The gig:

- Lead and support the front-of-house team to provide exceptional hospitality in close cooperation with the Manager

- Act as a trusted leader on the floor, ensuring seamless operations across all aspects of Faro Restaurant..

- Oversee daily service operations, including wine service and cellar management.

- Deliver high-end dining experiences in a fast-paced, high-performing environment.





- Confidently operate point-of-sale systems and handle transactions.

- Ensure compliance with RSA guidelines and maintain responsible service.

- Assist in training and mentoring team members to uphold service standards.

- Upsell food, beverage, and guest experiences.

- Maintain a deep knowledge of Tasmanian and Australian wines and confidently recommend pairings.

The you:

- 2+ years of leadership experience in restaurants or hospitality venues - beneficial.

- Solid knowledge of Tasmanian and Australian wines - beneficial but not essential

- Passionate about exceptional service and high-quality food and wine.

- Adaptable, professional, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Confident in mentoring and training team members.

- Valid and current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.

- Availability across our trading days (Thursday to Monday) and weekend evenings.
