Talent Pool Creation Policy, Project & Program Officers / Coordinators & Managers (Level 5 and Above)

We are seeking adaptable, strategic, and delivery-focused policy, project, and program specialists at Level 5, Level 6, and Level 7 (and equivalent). Whether you excel at shaping strategic policy, coordinating complex project lifecycles, or leading cross-agency programs, this expression of interest (EOI) offers a direct pathway to impactful roles at the center of government decision-making.

Key Responsibilities Across Pool Levels Depending on the specific level and role, you will be driving outcomes across policy development, project delivery, and program governance. Key duties include:

- Strategic Policy & Program Design: Undertaking complex research, policy analysis, and strategic reviews to deliver robust advice and high-level cabinet/executive briefings.

- Project & Program Management: Coordinating, executing, and monitoring strategic initiatives, roadmaps, and major reform agendas from inception through to evaluation.

- Executive Advisory & Reporting: Translating complex data and operational insights into clear, concise executive-level papers, risk frameworks, and performance dashboards.

- Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation: Building strong collaborative partnerships across agencies, leading high-level working groups, and facilitating stakeholder consultations to drive strategic alignment.

- Operational Leadership: Guiding multidisciplinary teams,



overseeing resource allocation, and delivering expertise aligned with public sector performance standards.

What You Bring to the Table: We are seeking current state or local government candidates who possess:

- Proven Public Sector Experience: Demonstrated track record in policy development, project coordination, or program management within a government setting.

- Executive-Ready Communication: Superior writing skills with the ability to distill complex issues into clear, actionable advice, policy notes, and executive submissions.

- Stakeholder Influence & Relationship Building: Proven capability to negotiate, consult, and build trusted relationships with senior leadership, inter-agency partners, and external stakeholders.

- Strategic Problem-Solving: An agile mindset with solid analytical capabilities and a drive to turn complex strategic priorities into practical outcomes.
