This company has a couple of business tranches one being fixed plant in the glass recycling arena, secondly it has a plant using robotics to manufacture repetitive pieces. This role has you installing equipment, onsite fabrication and maintenance work.

As a fitter boilermaker who is experienced with fixed plant. Someone who can work autonomously As an experienced Fitter / Boilermaker you will be responsible for the installation of structural steelwork conveyors & other machinery working to set specifications and drawings, also for the maintenance & modifications to existing plant & machinery.

WA Glass was established in 2019 to process the glass collected by the Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) in Western Australia. Based in Bassendean, the site accepts all CDS glass from collection sites across WA. We also process bottle glass from other sources in WA, as well as plate glass and windscreens from WA sources.

The plant features over 100 pieces of complex, centrally computer-controlled and monitored processing equipment including automatic colour sorters, dryers, crushers, and trommels.

We are not looking for someone with heavy plant experience and one that does a lot of shutdown work.

This position requires the ability to work independently in both a factory & site environment & overtime when required.

To apply for this position you would:

· Have experience working in the erection of Steelwork and Machinery

· Be able to work to set procedures and policies.





· Have an excellent attitude towards work and work well in a small team setting.

· Be available to work after hours for breakdowns & scheduled weekend shutdowns.

· Be willing to assist others and work in different areas of manufacturing if required.

· studying blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine job requirements

· selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock

· cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines

· shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and hammering

· aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments

· joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting

· examining welds for width of bead, penetration and precision

· finishing products by cleaning, polishing, filing and bathing in acidic solutions

· cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding
