Working smoke alarms provide critical early warning when every second counts. As a Smoke Alarm Technician, you’ll play an important role in helping keep people safe in their homes while enjoying stable hours, autonomy, variety and genuine work-life balance.

We’re looking for two friendly, reliable Smoke Alarm Technicians to join our team servicing the north side of Brisbane.

This is an entry-level opportunity with full paid training provided, making it ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and wants a role with independence and purpose.

Experience in smoke alarms is not required. We’re also very interested in hearing from people who have previously worked as Smoke Alarm Technicians with another company, as well as candidates with a handyman, maintenance, property services or general trades background.

About the Role

This is a field-based position servicing residential properties across Brisbane.

You’ll start your day from home and travel to properties where you’ll:

- Inspect, test, install and maintain smoke alarms

- Complete property compliance checks

- Identify and report issues where required

- Communicate professionally with tenants, property managers and real estate agencies

- Complete your work independently while being supported by our dedicated head office team

You can expect to visit approximately 15–25 properties per day, so every day offers variety and the opportunity to work across different homes and locations.

You’ll be the face of MYLO in the field, so professionalism,



reliability and a friendly approach are important.

No prior experience is required – we’ll provide comprehensive paid training and ongoing support.

What You’ll Need

We’re looking for someone who is practical, reliable and takes pride in doing a great job.

You’ll need:

- To live on the north side of Brisbane

- Hold a valid Driver’s Licence

- Confidence using hand tools

- A Police Clearance or the ability to obtain one

- Qualified presentation and pride in your work

- Good communication and customer service skills

- The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively

- Confidence using smartphones and mobile apps

Previous experience as a Smoke Alarm Technician, handyman, maintenance worker, property services worker or in a similar hands-on role is highly regarded – but not essential.
