Kurbingui is seeking an experienced Program Manager – Employment & Training to lead our Employment and Training portfolio.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and forming part of Kurbingui's Senior Leadership Team, this role is responsible for overseeing employment programs, traineeships, workforce initiatives, and industry partnerships that support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to build skills, gain qualifications, and achieve sustainable employment.

Kurbingui Youth and Family Development is an Aboriginal community-controlled not-for-profit organisation delivering programs across Greater Brisbane, Moreton Bay, and Southeast Queensland.

Our services support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, families, and communities through education, training, family support, cultural programs, therapeutic services, and community development initiatives.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will:

- Lead and coordinate Employment and Training programs and traineeships.
- Supervise and support Employment & Training staff and the Construction Supervisor.




- Develop partnerships with employers, Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), government agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Oversee participant recruitment, onboarding, and engagement activities.
- Monitor program performance, compliance requirements, and funding deliverables.
- Prepare reports and maintain contractual obligations.
- Identify opportunities for program growth, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to strategic planning and organisational objectives as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.

About You

Essential

You will bring:

- Qualifications and/or relevant experience in:
- Employment Services
- Community Services
- Training and Assessment
- Youth Work
- Leadership and Management
- Construction or a related field

- Demonstrated experience managing employment, training, workforce participation, or community-based programs.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills.
- Experience managing compliance, reporting, and funding requirements.
- Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and cultural protocols.
- Commitment to culturally safe and inclusive practice.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.





Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must hold and maintain:

- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- Current Blue Card
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current National Police Check (issued within the last two years)
