The Opportunity

An established, privately owned Western Australian construction business with approx 200 people across all divisions is seeking Contract Administrators and Senior Contract Administrators to join its growing commercial construction division.

With a strong project pipeline, experienced senior leadership team and a diverse portfolio of work, this is an opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of construction projects while enjoying the flexibility and accessibility of a privately owned business.

The Business & Project Portfolio

The construction division delivers approximately $150m in annual construction turnover, with around 6–8 projects underway at any one time.

Projects typically range from $30m–$100m.

The business offers genuine variety, with projects spanning:

- Commercial construction and major developments

- High-end apartments and multi-storey projects

- Aged care and healthcare facilities

- Hospitality and tourism developments

- Remote and regional construction projects

Future Pipeline

The business is continuing to pursue a broader range of significant projects, including opportunities across the government and community sectors.

This includes potential future work involving:

- Sporting facilities and recreation centres

- Universities and education facilities

- Schools and institutional developments

- Government and community infrastructure

- Aquatic centres and other major public facilities





This variety provides an opportunity to gain experience across different sectors, construction methodologies and project environments, rather than being restricted to one particular project type.

The Role

Depending on your experience, you'll take responsibility for the commercial and contractual management of your project, working closely with the Project Manager and wider site team to ensure successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Managing subcontractor procurement, letting and administration

- Preparing and assessing progress claims

- Managing variations, variations registers and cost reporting

- Reviewing subcontractor claims and ensuring payments are processed accurately

- Managing contractual correspondence and documentation

- Identifying and managing commercial risks

- Assisting with project forecasting and financial reporting

- Working collaboratively with the Project Manager and site team

- Ensuring contractual obligations and project deadlines are met

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

- Previous experience as a Contract Administrator or Senior Contract Administrator within commercial construction

- BSc Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar relevant tertiary qualification

- Experience managing subcontractor packages and commercial documentation





- Strong knowledge of construction contracts, variations and progress claims

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- A proactive approach to problem-solving and commercial management

- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative project team
