About the role





You will be responsible for the regular grounds and garden maintenance of established residential and commercial properties, including:

- Lawn mowing and edging
- Whipper snipping
- Weeding and garden-bed maintenance
- Pruning and general garden care
- General lawn and garden presentation
- Blowing down paths, driveways and hard surfaces
- Green waste management
- General outdoor grounds maintenance
- Identifying and reporting maintenance issues
- Leaving each property clean, tidy and well presented

The run is already established, with regular maintenance requirements and an existing schedule. A handover will be provided to ensure a smooth transition.

About you

We are looking for a reliable and experienced operator who:

- Has previous experience in gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance
- Operates their own gardening/landscaping business or works as a genuine independent contractor
- Holds a current ABN
- Holds appropriate public liability insurance
- Has a current Australian driver's licence
- Is confident using lawn mowers, whipper snippers and other garden equipment
- Can work independently and manage an established run
- Takes pride in the quality and presentation of their work
- Is reliable, punctual and well organised
- Has good communication skills




- Is professional and courteous when dealing with residential and commercial clients

Relevant horticulture qualifications, licences or industry tickets will be viewed favourably but are not essential where the applicant has strong practical experience.

Short-term transition

The exact duration is not yet confirmed and will depend on the timing of the business transition. This opportunity is therefore particularly suited to an established operator who is looking for additional regular work in the short to medium term.

Subcontract arrangement

This opportunity is for a genuine independent contractor/business, rather than an employee position.

The contractor will be responsible for completing the agreed grounds-maintenance services to the required standard and will invoice for the services provided.

The service requirements, frequency of visits and agreed fee will be discussed with the successful contractor prior to commencement.
